Campus Tree & Arboretum Advisory Committee
The UNM Campus Tree & Arboretum Advisory Committee was established in 2024 and is made up of one student, one faculty member, two Facilities Management representatives, an Office of Sustainability representative, and a community member. The committee will convene biannually to discuss updates to the Plan and provide recommendations for campus arboretum activities.

Staff Council Environmental Sustainability Committee
The purpose of the UNM Staff Council Environmental Sustainability Committee is to cultivate a culture of holistic environmental responsibility in alignment with UNM 2040 Strategic Plan (Goal #4: Sustainability), through engaging and committing to the advancement of holistic environmental awareness and sustainable practices by education, research, operations, and community service activities.
Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
UNM is a member of AASHE, and anyone affiliated with UNM has free access to AASHE’s online resources and opportunities for networking, information sharing, collaboration, and professional development.
How to Sign Up
- To create an individual account with AASHE, go to the create account page and fill out your user profile using your UNM email address.
- When you are prompted to identify which organization you are affiliated with, select “University of New Mexico” from the dropdown menu.
- After you receive an email with your password, go to the login page, enter your email address (login ID) and new password, and you will have access to all AASHE resources.
